9:00-10:30 Language Arts (This includes cursive writing, phonics, language, and spelling)
10:30-10:55 Seatwork Directions and Lunch Preparations
11:00-11:30 Lunch
11:30-1:00 Reading Groups and Seatwork
1:00-1:30 Recess
1:30-2:30 Math
2:30-3:00 Activity Time (Social Studies, Science, or Health)
3:00-3:15 Close of Day Business
3:15 Dismissal
Our schedule varies somewhat from day to day based on the special classes that we have.
Classroom Supplies/ Needs
In-coming first graders will need the following:
4 folders with bottom pockets
dozen pencils (wood only, no plastic)
2 chunky erasers
2 boxes of crayons (24 count)
highlighter
fiskar scissors (crayola brand works too, as long as they are not the safety scissors)
rubber ruler with inches and centimeters
2 large glue sticks
3 boxes of kleenex
Bible (King James version)
rubbermaid/sterilite storage container (shoebox size)
third grade writing tablet (to be kept at home)
package of blank index cards
bottle of clorox/lysol wipes
ream of copy paper
2 blue or black dry erase markers
Optional:
markers
backpack-recommended but not required
Please, no hand held pencil sharpeners or colored pencils.
